Podcast Theory
Welcome to Podcast Theory! This show is dedicated to diving deep into the art, business, and psychology of podcasting for business - providing a well-rounded resource for leaders, professionals, and entrepreneurs looking to add podcasting to their initiatives or elevate an existing show.
Since this podcast's launch in 2020, it's undergone a couple of changes:
- Seasons 1 and 2 were known as Pod Theory
- Season 3 was dedicated to solo podcasting and aptly named Solo Podcasting Simplified
These episodes live on in the archives while new seasons of Podcast Theory are produced in two formats:
1. Seasons featuring host Jason Cercone and a Featured Co-Host
2. Livestreams airing on YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook every Tuesday & Thursday at 12:00pm EST, then released as podcasts on the same day. These livestream episodes are filed under Season 4.
We look forward to bringing innovative, cutting-edge podcasting tips, strategy, and commentary your way. Subscribe and follow the show so you're the first to know when new episodes go live!

Guess what? Not everyone needs your shit.
Guess what else? Not everyone needs MY shit.
As hard as it may be to accept, the whole world did not wake up this morning needing exactly what you have to offer.
Nor does any podcaster need to bring you on their show as a guest because you explain to them how much success you've achieved.
One of the biggest issues plaguing the digital world is connection and outreach. There are too many people "pitch slapping" others from jump, taking no time to get to know an individual, discovering what's working for them and what isn't, and seeing if they truly have a solution that can help solve their specific problem.
Likewise, many aspiring podcast guests are focusing too much on their own accomplishments and accolades instead of letting podcasters know why they believe their show aligns with their mission and message.
I firmly believe the best way to cut through the noise in today's world is to be a genuine human. It's less stressful and will lead to far better results at the end of the day.
In this installment of Podcast Theory Live, I'm sharing what I've been experiencing in this arena lately and why it's important to bring a humanistic approach to connection, outreach, and overall communication.
